We have been engaged by one of Australia's most innovative and pioneering solar solutions providers (established nearly 15 years) in the search for a high calibre Business Development Manager. 


As a Business Development Manager specialising in Commercial Solar, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth by identifying, developing, and securing new project opportunities within the 30kW to 500kW+ range. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with commercial clients, understanding their energy needs, and presenting tailored solar solutions that align with their business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the C&I solar sector, targeting projects between 30kW and 500kW+.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Work closely with the engineering and project management teams to deliver fully customized solar energy solutions.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets.
  • Present project proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with clients.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and government policies related to renewable energy and solar.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand your professional network.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably within the commercial solar or renewable energy sector.
  • Experience securing solar projects in the 30kW to 500kW+ range.
  • Strong understanding of the C&I solar market, including knowledge of regulatory frameworks, financial models, and energy cost savings.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex technical solutions in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team to drive business success.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
